We believe adoption is about much more than matching a dog with a family. It is about understanding the dog’s past, preparing them for their future, and making sure the family is ready to welcome that dog into their lives for the long haul.

We Review Every Inquiry
The process begins when a family reaches out about adoption.
We take the time to learn about the family, their lifestyle, their expectations, their home environment, other pets, children, schedules, and what they are hoping to find in a companion. Every dog is different and we aren't looking for just a home. Our dogs travel a long distance and are looking for their forever home!
We Carefully Review Applications
We consider the family’s lifestyle, experience, expectations, household dynamics, activity level, other animals, and ability to provide the time, patience, structure, love, and commitment a dog needs. Our dogs come from very humble beginnings, and a lot of time, rehabilitation, effort, vetting and love have been poured into their future.
It is about making the best possible match. Our goal is to prevent a situation where a dog is adopted with the best intentions but later finds themselves needing another home because the match wasn't right.
We are grateful for every inquiry, and everyone’s time is valuable. Most importantly, our mission is to get them to the right home for them and you!
We Make Sure the Dog Is Ready for Home Life
Before a dog is considered ready for adoption, we work to understand who they are and what they need. Every dog comes with their own story, personality, experiences, strengths, fears, behaviors, and needs. It is important that we know the dog so we can relay to you who the dog is. Together we can make an assessment and the best judgement for your new possible family member.
We Focus on the BEST Fit—Not the Fastest Adoption
We know how easy it is to fall in love with a dog's picture or story.
But responsible adoption requires looking beyond that first emotional connection.
We want adopters to ask:
Can I provide what this particular dog needs?
Does this dog's personality fit my household?
Am I prepared for the adjustment period?
Can I commit to this dog for the rest of their life?
The goal isn't simply to get a dog adopted quickly but to remember, the goal is to get the dog home for good.
Adoption Should Never Feel Like Pressure
When it comes time to make the decision, there is no pressure.
We want adopters to take the time to truly understand the commitment they are making.
We ask every potential adopter to take in the dog's story—where they came from, what they may have experienced, how far they have come, and what their future can look like with the right family.
Because adoption isn't just about changing where a dog lives. It is about changing the rest of their life.
We ask that you apply The 3-3-3 Rescue Dog Transition rules to help with your dogs easy transition into your home life. This includes:
First 3 Days: Decompression
First 3 Weeks: Learning Routine
First 3 Months: Building Trust
The Final Match
When everyone agrees that the match is right, we move forward with the adoption.
Our hope is that at this point, we aren't simply placing a dog in a house, we are helping create an addition to your family.
We want every dog to leave knowing they are loved, and every adopter to leave knowing they are taking home a companion who has been carefully evaluated, prepared, and matched with their family to the best of our ability. Even after adoption, when transport is complete and you are settled, we will always be here for support! Keep those photos and stories coming back to us!
