Every day, countless dogs in Mexico are born into hardship abandoned, injured, and forgotten. At From Stray to Stay Rescue, we step in when they have nowhere else to turn. Through rescue, medical care, and compassionate placement, we give these dogs a second chance at life.

Our Mission
Our Purpose
From Stray to Stay Rescue is a nonprofit rescue focused on saving dogs in Mexico and helping them begin a new life in the U.S.
One of our rescue board members has boots on the ground in Mexico and opens her home as a foster. Because of that, we’re able to help dogs right where they are pulling them from unsafe situations, making sure they receive proper veterinary care, and giving them a safe place to land while they heal and decompress.
We also work closely with trusted local rescuers and veterinarians who care deeply about these dogs. Together, we walk alongside each dog from the streets to safety, and eventually, into a loving home in the United States.
This rescue is built on compassion, hands-on care, and a whole lot of heart and we’re so grateful for every person who supports this mission.

Medical Care

We make sure every dog we rescue feels healthy and whole. rom vaccinations to spay/neuter to treating injuries or illness, we make sure they get the love and attention their bodies and hearts need.
Foster
Temporary Homes
Some dogs need a soft place to land before they’re ready for adoption. Thanks to our board member and trusted fosters in Mexico, we are able to offer safe, loving homes where they can recover, gain confidence, and learn to trust again.

Once they’re ready, we carefully place each dog into homes where they’ll be loved forever. Every adoption is a story of hope for the dog and the family opening their hearts.
